Welcome to Superstar Style, a website that celebrates the fashion icons of past eras and how they have influenced culture and people's lives since. Included are star style profiles (including information, articles, products and more all relating to their style), a press archive, links, guides on how to achieve the look of your favourite icon, and more.
Originally planned as a tribute to Andy Warhol's "superstar" muse Edie Sedgwick and her style (hence the site name), upon building the website and conversing with visitors we were inspired to expand upon this idea and feature other icons of fashion and beauty.

August 18th, 2008 We are happy to announce we have our first affiliate! It's VivAndLarry.com, an incredible website dedicated to one of the most fascinating couples of their time, Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier. Be sure to visit, if you haven't already ;D
July 28th, 2008 Again, sorry for not updating! My family has just moved to San Jose, so things have been busy. :) Anyhoo, over the past few years I've collected a lot of mostly style-related articles on Edie and co. and thought I'd scan them in for this site. ^^ There are transparent watermarks on them since I've had bad experiences with rip-offs, but they're not too distracting - I just want people to know where the scans come from should they stumble upon them somewhere else. :) Here's a preview:

May 17th, 2008 Apologies for the lack of updates, I've added profiles for Natalie Wood, Faye Dunaway, and Anna Karina. Despite the impact the latter two had on the fashion world, it's been difficult finding much about their style online so the profiles are not yet as plentiful as I'd like to them to be. Meanwhile, I added The Fashion Spot: How to Dress like Edie Sedgwick to the Edie profile and this collection of lovely retro Marilyn-inspired swimsuits to the Marilyn section. More to come!
March 4th, 2008 Added a style profile for the lovely Catherine Deneuve; I've also updated the Audrey Hepburn page with a wonderful excerpt from the book Audrey Style. ^^
February 8th, 2008 Added style profiles for Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Rita Hayworth and Vivien Leigh. Also, I'm so happy to announce that the Superstar Style Message Forums have hit the 100 members mark! Thanks to everyone to has joined and supported us! :)
February 4th, 2008 Grand opening! :D This is certainly later than planned for the website to have opened, but soon after announcing this website I grew rather intimidated by the work I was about to take on and though we received a very warm, supportive response from a group of some very lovely people, people didn't respond as strongly as anticipated for a website that was to be built very much on everyone's suggestions and ideas for what the site should be.
This is why the Edie Sedgwick section is perhaps somewhat smaller than anticipated. However, the basic aim of the Edie project was to have all the basic facts in one nice, organized place and that, among other things, is what we are working on. This is the very beginning and things are quite bare at the moment, so if you have contributions we'd be happy to have them!
Speaking of contributions, there is a list of people we'd like to thank for helping us get this project going. Thanks so much and I hope you like the website!
